Bridging Classical and Quantum Turbulence

Research in the field of superfluidity (including Bose-Einstein condensates, superfluid helium and superconductors) has a very fast momentum in physics, motivated by basic knowledge and by applications that may trigger a new technological revolution. The last fifteen years have also seen an explosion in mathematical studies on these subjects (nonlinear Schrödinger, Gross-Pitaevskii or Ginzburg-Landau equations), bringing in this field new rigorous mathematical theories on which the most recent and efficient numerical methods are based.

The aim of the meeting is to bring together physicists and mathematicians, specialists in the fields of classical turbulence and superfluid turbulence.

We will thus be able to facilitate communication between disciplines on these highly topical subjects and identify subjects for interaction and collaboration.

The summer school will be held at the Cargèse Scientific Institute (IESC) in Corsica, from Tuesday, July 4, to Friday, July 14, 2023.

The final program and the presentations are available on the Scientific program page.

Many thanks to all participants and speakers !
